MULTI-GENERATIONAL LEGACY PORTRAITS
Consider the blessing of having created a wonderful, extended family that represents your legacy for generations to come. This should be documented and preserved. This genre of portrait photography is unlike any other, requiring collaboration, planning, and discernment on the part of the client and the portrait artist. Bob Harper Portraits is the region’s best in accomplishing this for our clients.
Our process begins with an in person consultation which may be in our studio, our client’s home, or somewhere mutually convenient. At this consultation, we will discuss client desires, rationale for the portrait, and overall styling. Often, a home visit will be required as part of this consultation process where styling may be refined, display locations reviewed, and proper sizing determined. Pricing is also discussed during this consultation.
Once Bob is commissioned to create this fine art piece for a client, the photography session is scheduled. This is usually in our studio in Downtown Hampton but may be in a client’s home, the grounds, or a public or private setting. A session fee is collected at this time that includes the photography and a creation fee.
During the Photography session, the focus is on obtaining the absolute best photographic images of the extended family in small groups or as individuals that Bob will then use to create the overall legacy composition.
During the creation of the final composition, collaboration and discussion insures that the finished art piece represents the vision of the client. Ultimately, the aim is to create a piece that will become a treasured family heirloom for generations.
A proof is provided the client for approval and adjustments are made as necessary. Once approved, the final piece is made into a fine art canvas portrait and custom framed.
The completed Multi-Generational Legacy Portrait is then delivered and installed in the client’s home.
Typically, from consultation to installation requires 4-6 weeks.
Pricing for these unique, totally custom fine art pieces begins at $4000 for a 30-inch Multi-Generational Legacy Portrait. Available options include oil painting treatments and upgraded frames.
